Its success resulted in the adoption of the concept by Thailand, Vietnam, Malawi, Cambodia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
OTOP Philippines is a priority program of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to promote entrepreneurship and create jobs at the local level through development of products and services that has competitive advantage.
It supports micro, small and medium enterprises (mSMEs) to manufacture, offer, and market distinctive products or services through the use of indigenous raw materials and local skills and talents.
