CREATING THE TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP (TWG)
OF THE LOCAL AND REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (LRED)
FOR THE CITY OF COTABATO

WHEREAS, Local and Regional Economic Development (LRED) has become an increasingly popular approach among governments in developing countries, bilateral donors and international organizations;

WHEREAS, LRED is a process to mobilise stakeholders from the public and private sectors as well as from the civil society, to become partners in a joint effort to improve the economy and increase its competitiveness;

WHEREAS, LRED aims to promote the emergence of vibrant and ecologically sustainable local or regional economies, which will trigger pro-poor growth and ultimately, better living conditions for the majority of the population;

WHEREAS, in order to spur the economic development of Cotabato City, there is a need to organize an LRED Technical Working Group (TWG)

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAPAL J. GUIANI, JR., Mayor of the City of Cotabato, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create and compose the Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Local and Regional Economic Development (LRED) for the City of Cotabato:
