EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 12
Series of 2010
 
CREATING A TASK FORCE ON BUSINESS LICENSES

WHEREAS, in order to effectively impose the law requiring all business enterprise to secure Business Permit and pay the corresponding fees and taxes, there is an urgent need for the creation of a special group to ensure compliance by all concerned;

NOW THEREFORE, I, JAPAL J. GUIANI, JR. Mayor of the City of Cotabato, by virtue of the powers vested in me, by law, do hereby order the creation of Task Force on Business Licenses:

SECTION 1. Composition. The Task Force on Business Licenses shall be composed of the following:

SECTION 2. Functions. The Task Force shall have the following functions:

a) Conduct inspection of all business establishments in the city. Determine if they have secured and/or renewed the necessary Business Permit.

b) Send demand letters to business establishments who have outstanding taxes due to the City Government.

c) Compel business establishments who were granted Temporary Business Permits (TBP) to immediately comply with the requirements of the TBP.

d) Prepare and submit documents in support for the filing of legal actions, whenever necessary, before the appropriate Courts in coordination with the City Legal Office.

e) Submit a weekly report (Thru: The City Administrator) indicating the following:

1. Name and Location of Business Establishments Inspected

2. Status of Business Permit (New/Expired/Renewed)

 

SECTION 3. Repealing Clause. All other order, issuances and memoranda issued inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 4. Effectivity. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
