WFP helps Cotabato City

After a series of coordinating meetings with the local government of Cotabato City and the Liga ng mga Barangay, the World Food Program has now started distributing relief items to flood victims.



Mayor Guiani is not a liar!–Liga ng mga Barangay condemns Sec. Lacierda for talking without probe.

33 out of the 37 Members of the Liga ng mga Barangay signed a Manifesto supporting Cotabato City Mayor Japal Guiani, Jr. and standing firm on their statement that the Local Chief Executive is not a liar, as accused by Presidential Spokesman Sec. Edwin Lacierda.

In a press conference of the 37 Barangay Captains, they affirmed that the Mayor is telling the truth and they themselves attested that only a few barangays received help from the DSWD 12.



Cotabato City Under State of Calamity

nduHeavy flooding once again strike Cotabato City as the intense rain pour started last week. Flood started in the nearby municipality of Sultan Kudarat and then later on poured in several Eastern barangay in the city. Another major factor that contributed to the flood is the accumulation of water hyacinth under Delta Bridge and on the Tamontaka River.



Cotabato City celebrates 113th Independence Day
