City authorities beef up security for the Holy Week

he City government of Cotabato ties up with the local authorities in strengthening security measures in the city during the observance of the Holy Week, which is also the start of the campaign period for local political candidates.



Malaysian Investors set to come to Cotabato City

Top executives of 3 of the largest business groups in the State of Johor, Malaysia are set to attend a business forum in Cotabato City later this month.

This business forum aims to build a bridge that will connect local producers and business groups to Johor and reach a larger market. The group of investors includes officials from the ISKANDAR Regional Development Authority, Johor Corporation, IMCoop--the three big players in Johor.



Malaysian Groups expressed intent to invest in Cotabato City

DSCF3123Business groups in the state of Johor, Malaysia are eyeing the possibility of putting up big investments in Cotabato City.

Heeding an invitation given by the Secretary General of Johor, Malaysia, City Mayor Japal Guiani, Jr. together with City Administrator Dr. Danda N. Juanday, went to the country and was able to talk with several business groups, including Iskandar Regional Development Authority, the planning arm of Johor's State Government.



Job opportunities continue to open for Cotabatenios

As one of the biggest investments in Cotabato City is set to open on November, more job openings are available for Cotabatenios this year.

PureGold Incorporated, one of the biggest hypermarket franchises in the country, is currently on the process of hiring more or less 250 employees, both direct and indirect. Last October 5-7, it has conducted interviews for potential applicants at the People's Palace's lobby, with the coordination from the local government of Cotabato thru its PESO.
