Every child has the right to health, education and protection, and every society has a stake in expanding children’s opportunities in life. Yet, around the world, millions of children are denied a fair chance for no reason other than the country, gender or circumstances into which they are born.
In its quest of sustaining a child-friendly city, the city government of Cotabato has been religiously implementing programs and projects that concentrate on child care.
As City Mayor Atty. Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi reported in her State of the Children Address, the city government has alloted a quarter of its 2016 budget for the proper implementation of children's welfare programs. One of which is the Day Care Service where the city government has allocated 1.9 million pesos.
